Dear all (which means everyone from Theo de Raadt to anyone who ever answered a question in a helpful way or did something positive for the community and its beneficiaries),
I think the libressl project is exemplary in its aims and, if it achieves even a fraction of what the OpenBSD contributors (and others of course) achieved with OpenSSH, it will be a benchmark and also a social good. I love OpenSSH but I suppose I took it for granted. Recent events around OpenSSL and the response of the OpenBSD devs prompted me to penetrate the mental fog, cast off the shackles of miserliness, and make a small donation to the OpenBSD Foundation (non-publicly identifying ref 7TD19421BR457200C). I am currently solvent (well, maybe/almost/weird definition dude) thanks to the wonders of the UK's social security system (in small part due to the vast quantities of money I paid into it when times were easier - omg a conundrum) and I hope you get the support you deserve from the people who will get filthy rich using your contributions to solicit trust, goodwill, and (last but not least) money. Try not to be too hard on the OpenSSL devs - they got screwed by everyone already. yours etc. Julian Hughes (a wicked debian user) btw your mailing list system is only slightly more obscure than solving a rubik's cube in the dark with gloves on - maybe you could add some more obstacles? ttfn
