Here's the followup. With 5.5-release network with bwi is stuck...very very very low transfer rates (about 80 KB/sec average speed, 110 KB/sec peak). bce is broken, kernel logs tons of bce0: descriptor error. Running -current from May 12th snapshot bwi runs slow but better, bce sometimes runs good, sometimes prints descriptor error message (kernel or configuration untouched). -- f.
