I have an 8188CE device as well, it's on my list of things to look into. But I can't make any promises. Just wait until support shows up and use a USB wifi dongle in the meantime, or buy a minipcie card that's supported by iwn(4) and accepted by the x220 BIOS whitelist (if there is one).
