For sparc64, if nothing goes wrong with the build, it will be about a fortnight before new packages are built and hit the mirrors. If you're tracking -current, reading the commit log (source-changes list, etc) is strongly recommended, especially on a slower architecture, if you notice a library version bump then it's often worth updating or saving a copy of the snapshot so that you have the right libraries for the packages. On faster arches the window for these being out-of-sync is smaller (including fanout time, probably about 3-4 days amd64, 5-6 i386, again this assumes nothing going wrong)..
