Major differences.
The snapshot code is -current. That includes commits from only a few
hours earlier. From time to time, it also contains changes which are
not yet commited.
This is all described in the FAQ.
Furthermore, there are no -stable builds made available.
- we do not have the machines to do such stable builds;
- we do not have people who want to run that operation on
an on-going basis;
- and since OpenBSD is essentially a 'software research group'
of volunteers developers, there is no clear way to push anyone
towards doing this.
-stable builds might be what some people want, but they have never
stepped up to handle it from beginning to end. So it doesn't happen.
