Does it help? Well, a bit, I would guess. One thing, if you run it as another user, (depending on your home permissions) it shouldn't have access to your files. With restrictive enough permissions it won't be able to install anything - but then again, neither will you. Why having one separate user for that is a bad idea? Because usually each user has his/her own preferences, plugins, bookmarks. Now everyone runs browser as same user....
