updates:

1 - plugging in a usb-kybd/mouse and all works just fine... thus, i guess
(since this is basically a level-4 issue, we can call it closed?)
http://www.openbsd.org/report.html

in particular, i made a pcidump-listing and another dmesg-listing
(with the usb-keybd attached) which i will enclose after the line-breaks....

2 - to try and add something useful, here are my notes on afterboot...
http://www.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/man.cgi/OpenBSD-current/man8/afterboot.8

a) PermitRootLogin no longer in samples of /etc/ssh/ssh_config and
the keyword does not work iirc. (also sshd_config(5) incorrect ?)
[i am not sure HOW it works, but rootLogin got disabled semi-magically
during the install-procedure - and i have not tried leaving it enabled to
determine what would need-to-be-done to deactivate it post-install]

b) the routing-tables have slightly different format now (ipv4 uses /mask)
also /etc/mygate file no longer exists and did not seem create-able to me...

hth, h.
