Dear fellows, i am in need to write event driven processing applications. I must avoid sequential processing. I will be mixing RPC queries and dns ones.
I saw, at the first sigh, writing non batch program is very hard to accomplish. So i wonder how openbsd manages when there are n process, for instance, waiting on a file descriptor for readability/writeabilitiy simultaneously? How does it "notify" the readable/writeable status to each of the process doing poll/select? I think, for me, of course, to be very hard to correlate a series of event managing there source (I/O, timer expiration, signal, etc). It would help to access to paper on this matter.
