Ingo,

I've been lurking, and delighted to see that my post led to a patch.  As a 
newbie, it's been interesting to see this process in action.  I'm in total 
agreement with the approach you've taken in the patch.

I'm not yet at the level of running -current.  But I look forward to the fix 
when I get there, or when the release comes out (which could well happen first).
