These are automated auditings; the closed system providers can

Ya.. Try to picture that. You would see Microsoft using tools design for
open source project on what they call their flag ship wonderful OS
second to none and, at the same time trying to convince everyone in the
world that open source project are bad for your security and business
and offer no support and as they love to say it, doesn't reduce your
cost of ownership.
Yeap, I can see them doing that...
