Fair enough. My intention is to use this machine on camping trips and whatever, tethering it to my phone to be able to check maps and weather information. Thus the browser needs to be able to access: - http://www.bom.gov.au/ -- particularly the radar loops (which need JavaScript) - http://www.openstreetmap.org/ - http://maps.google.com.au/ I'll have a look at netsurf, see what it can do. I've tried `dillo` and `elinks` on Linux, wasn't greatly impressed by the capabilities of either. The answer may yet be to try and fix Firefox. This will be fun, years ago I seemed to recall that their priority was the Playstation II and its period-correct version of Linux (Kernel 2.2.) and rather obscure CPU: the problem point being a bit of MIPS ASM. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=258429 It's pleasing to see that bug as being "resolved". Anyway, I guess it'll be a weekend project for me to see where Firefox is going wrong. -- Stuart Longland (aka Redhatter, VK4MSL) I haven't lost my mind... ...it's backed up on a tape somewhere.
