I think he confirmed that Apple isn't going to do anything to prevent
other operating systems from running, but this does not mean that
they'll work out-of-the-box with no special hacks.

as those machines use EFI (as Itanic boxen do, too), Windows Vista will
run without additional patches, as EFI is supposed to replace the PeeCee
BIOS; in 1998 -- IIRC -- the 'Intel Boot Initiative' was founded for
doing this.
