6-hourly, but if it's in the middle of a sync it probably won't start a
new one (there are often 60+GB of packages a week, I don't know the
current situation but certainly in the past there have been speed issues
fetching from the fanout server on some networks).

That mirror is feeding from ftp.eu so that's not a surprise. The
hostserver.de server is usually a good choice for Germany if you need
frequent updates (of course for releases you don't need frequent
updates except for syspatch).
