IKEv1 (either on its own with just isakmpd, or combined with L2TP from npppd) works widely. IKEv2/iked works with iPhones in some setups (though Theodore Wynnychenko ran into a problem that was introduced with a commit in March so it doesn't work in all setups there). Tim Stewart has been looking at getting it working with recent strongswan on Android (see various diffs "Add Diffie-Hellman group negotiation" on tech@).
