Due to the Commonwealth Games being held in Victoria daylight saving time will end one week later than usual in NSW/VIC/SA/TAS on April 2 this year.
Jason Tubnor kindly posted a link to the amended datfile in tech@ some time ago so recompiling the zoneinfo files was easy for me. It isn't always that easy for everybody though and residents or those with affected clients with boxes running any OS that uses zoneinfo files can have me email a copy of the one(s) required if they send an email to deadmail <AT> witworx <dot> com stating which file(s) they require. The rule change is marked 2006 only so there is no reason to have to remember to do anything after April 2. You'd be updating before this time next year anyway, I'm sure. The firewall here runs spamd with greylisting. If that catches you so that you don't get through you'll have to reply to this message on this list but otherwise let's not raise the noise level please. No, I don't run an FTP server and for the small number who may need these files I can't be bothered to set one up nor will I do a website for downloads. About 800 bytes per file makes attachments to email a reasonable transport. Usual caveats about risk but these are not files you'd execute anyway and you can test the operation using date -r 1143903540 and counting up to watch the time go through 02:00:00 twice.
