It is considered bad form and impolite to take a private response and publicly reply. That said, you miss the point. A denial of service isn't a data security issue, it's a data availability issue. Yes, a DoS attack is important, but I'd rather have my data completely unavailable (and have to go reboot the machine) than have it spewed all across the internet.
