I am guessing, but it sounds as if you are missing the pertinent firmware for OBSD and your Linux-live-cd seems to come with the firmware. Also are you sure that your network chip is Realtek? Which one? More info is needed - at least dmesg of OBSD and of Linux HTH Eike
