I don't see any kind of messages in the logs related to the error.
device r/o switch is set to r/o?
/mnt/usb0 is r/o?

If that's not it, please ktrace the command and show kdump

Hi Otto,

There is no hw switch on this usb drive, I'm not sure why it's showing up as read only.

I attached a ktrace for both the disklabel command as well as an ls on the drive after I was able to mount it read only.
