I have the same problem with my ath-based card. It's been mentioned on the list before. The problem seems to be that the card isn't sending proper association info. I intend to try and figure it out once I get comfortable building kernels and you could help too. On the other hand, are you sure you want to use ath_1_? Do you have two ath cards?
