I have a user with a non-standard $HOME location
and I added a key to authorized_keys.

When I try to login via SSH, I get a password prompt.

When looking at sshd debug logs, I see this:

debug1: Could not open authorized keys
'/var/home/user/.ssh/authorized_keys': Permission denied

That's a but strange that ssh daemon cannot open a keys.
Why is that? Some sort of security to prevent sshd
touching anything outside /home?
