Hello folks,

Never used Rufus before, but I think you need to download
install71.img if you plan to use an USB stick for the installation.

RUFUS is a tool to write an ISO file to a USB pen drive and make a bootable pen drive for installation purposes.

Using RUFUS for *BSD iso files in order to make bootable pen drive and install *BSD is a bad ide, due to it fails.

As Omar Polo said in previous e-mail message, download the proper *img file and write it to a USB pen drive with dd tool is the right way.

If you want to install a Linux Distribution to a pac, please consult www.distrowatch.com and select one Linux distribution right for you.

Of if you have already installed OpenBSD, consult the FAQ of OpenBSD and install XFCE with pkg_add. If so, welcome.

Sincereley yours

One of your firends in *BSD Universe.
