Hi,

I've been working on getting my Raspberry PI 4b set up the way I want.

I have OpenBSD 7.1 installed on an SD card that it boots from totally fine.

I have a 512 G SSD that I have being mount as /var (lots of photos in a web application).

Then I repurposed a 1 Terabyte SSD to be my /home and it's working fine.

However, when I boot with the repurposed 1 Terrabyte drive attached, the boot hangs.

I am assuming there is some information in the first part of the disk that makes the boot software think it's bootable and it prioritizes that rather than the SD Card.

I see a message "Boot Order Not Defined", which might help resolve the issue, but I am at a loss as to how to identify the boot order.

My other thought is to zero out the first xxx bytes on the drive at issue so it's not considered bootable... but I have not seen anything from a source I would trust.

For example, a random Internet post:

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/<path of data drive> bs=446 count=1

What would be the best approach to have this system booting reliably?

This is the disk that doesn't give any issues if it's on when I boot:
rpi4# fdisk -v sd1
