As a new contributor, I wonder, is there a unified list of things
that should be fixed/(re)written/ported?
I read the FAQ and surfed around the CVS sources, but can't find
anything that resembles what I imagine this to be.
So far I noticed several things people tend to complain about on the
mailing lists and on the Internet in general:
1. no tickless kernel (supposedly it is more energy-efficient)
2. some things (mostly syscalls) are single-core only. See: biglock
3. vmm: missing graphics/device/{your favourite vm feature}
support
4. Advanced filesystems like ZFS (HAMMER2 port?)
5. Nvidia (with the release of the opensource driver and
nouveau signed firmware something might be possible?)
Of course, I don't mean that this should be included in the todo
list, if one is needed.
Would this be useful to make and add to the
FAQ and/or sources?
