I had a similar issue (very slow first part of the boot process, more than 1 min) on my Fujistu Lifebook U937. Following and advice read here, I switched the boot from "legacy bios" to "uefi" and now the boot process took just a couple of seconds. NB: I use grub2 as main bootloader to chainload openbsd efi file. cheers, Igor
