Not sure what you mean by setting a dark theme for Xorg, but AFAIK,
you don't theme Xorg, but rather your {window manager (in your case
cwm), desktop environment, widget libraries (gtk, qt)}. I don't use
cwm, but a quick search for 'color' in cwmrc(5) should give you an
idea of what colors you can configure. Other than that, some X
client applications such as xterm can be configured through
~/.Xresources.
Regarding #2, no clue. Sorry.
