Usually a complete shutdown and plugging and unplugging the power gets it to start working as expected. Until then it's dog slow showing now reason why (pretty sure apm shows a normal cpu frequency and there's no interrupt storm). I would not be surprised if that's the same problem reported here. It happens enough to be mildly annoying, but not enough (and it's not my daily driver) that I have dug into it further beyond just the power cycle. Is it kernel state? Bios? /shrug
