I just enter now in the thread, sorry for any misinterpretation.

For a good pile of old stuff (eg: 3.5 big, heavy and hot sata disks)
but it support also 2.5 disks, all with hot swap (you shut them down
when you want) I live together with my:

Orico O3559U3 http://gaox.io/l/O3559U3

and a couple of shell scripts that prepare the scaffolding to copy
source data and mount destination partitions through:

rdiff-backup

I recently added live server backup that are turning to deltas of:

duplicity

I personally live for a day-by-day basis life..so it a daily duty, not
years. Every 3-4 months max replacing full backups.

Sorry for the transparent speech... :)
