Same here, as expected for my current skill level.
Bye the bye I tried to install Qubes on it too but it was interminably
slow. They did say that Nvidia would be a headache, as it is for
OpenBSD. Perhaps that is my basic problem.
Maybe you're right, maybe it's one of these tiny things that get
forgotten from time to time. Like turning off "HP Secure Start" or any
other so-called "Secure Boot" nonsense that I almost forgot 2 weeks ago
when installing anything else then Window$.
You did not mention if you checked the BIOS settings, so I thought to
mention it.
