Guessing is a bad idea when you have actual information.

If they would be running Android, they would be in violation of
our licenses, by their own standards.

Our license says:

Permission to use, copy, modify, and distribute this software for any
purpose with or without fee is hereby granted, provided that the above
copyright notice and this permission notice appear in all copies.

Since they do not distribute source code, it appears they intend to
comply with the "appear in all copies" part by distributing the
printed leaflet "Information regarding Open Source Software" with
their product. If they were actually using significant parts of
OpenBSD libc, they would have to include many more Copyright
notice lines crediting additional developers in that leaflet,
and probably also some slightly different licences, too, like
some BSD licences. They would likely also have to credit
FreeBSD and NetBSD, parts of which Android also uses.

Since we have no indication that they are violating any license terms,
it seems quite unlikely that the fridge runs Android.

Yours,
  Ingo
