I'll assume you mean client-side Minecraft. I am unsure about the
situation on server-side MC on OpenBSD.

I was working on getting PrismLauncher ported as the maintainer of
games/blockgame stopped using OpenBSD [0], and PolyMC had some recent
development controversy at the time [1]. You can see where I left off at
in [2].

IIRC the issue I came upon was that OpenBSD's games/lwjgl3 port was too
out of date to work correctly with modern Minecraft versions at the
time. Also, PrismLauncher's own build instructions for OpenBSD were
hopelessly incomplete and wrong [3].

I also opened a GitHub issue on the project's page about making my job
easier [4]. They had some uniquely "linux-y" solutions to the problems
I found, so I'm not too hopeful this thread will get anywhere useful...

Unfortunately, life stuff got in the way and I ended up abandoning the
work, but these threads I left might help you pick up where I left off
if you're particularly motivated.
