I am unsure about the situation on server-side MC on OpenBSD. I was working on getting PrismLauncher ported as the maintainer of games/blockgame stopped using OpenBSD [0], and PolyMC had some recent development controversy at the time [1]. You can see where I left off at in [2]. IIRC the issue I came upon was that OpenBSD's games/lwjgl3 port was too out of date to work correctly with modern Minecraft versions at the time. Also, PrismLauncher's own build instructions for OpenBSD were hopelessly incomplete and wrong [3]. I also opened a GitHub issue on the project's page about making my job easier [4]. They had some uniquely "linux-y" solutions to the problems I found, so I'm not too hopeful this thread will get anywhere useful... Unfortunately, life stuff got in the way and I ended up abandoning the work, but these threads I left might help you pick up where I left off if you're particularly motivated. Cheers!
