There is no thing you can do with HAOS and cannot do with ha-container.
Maybe it will require some more effort to install ha and z2m manually,
but ultimately it will be the same thing.
Just use alpine linux with docker or podman (i prefer podman) and fire
up ha. I can share quadlets for podman that i'm using if needed.
I do use some 'apps' such as mosquito and nginx currently which the
container version doesn't support. But that could probably be fixed some
other way. Thanks, I'll have a look at it later this week.
