Pardon for bumping a several days old thread; I have the D-Link DWM-222/R - not to be confused with DWM-222W - which works great with the urndis(4) driver, without any kernel fiddling.
The device, when plugged-in, presents as a SCSI CD-ROM unit (cd0) which must be ejected in order for the mobile component to start up. Linux/Windows is familiar with the behavior and does it automatically. That annoyance aside, it functions normally once up and running. It runs off of a Qualcomm MDM92xx-something chipset, which is essentially a tiny SoC running a bare minimal OS of some sort. > Hi all, > > Can anybody recommend a 4G USB dongle that works with OpenBSD, ideally > without any kernel fiddling (although I am open to this if necessary)?
