Thanks for your thoughts. They're reminding me that I need to get to know the
.cwmrc better. I also realized I put .xinitrc in the subject line of my email,
but not in the body. An oversight. I haven't used xinit in years, using xenodm
for X11, switching to a different virtual console to skip X11.
