Without internet, easy to solve troubles can be difficult to solve. How would you upgrade an old system without (good) internet, without risking that the process fails ending with a broken system that makes upgrading more difficult?
Can one always boot bsd.rd be with old boot loader? Of course, a solution could be to bring booting media, together with all binaries including packages needed for the upgrade, and I would do it, but if it does not boot, then I have a problem (due to limiting conditions). In principle, I would prefer to seldom upgrade, ... Any idea?
