The problem is with carp0, that has a few aliases in/etc/hostname.carp0... after executing "sh /etc/netstart carp0", vhd1 onfw2 became MASTER, and vhid1 on fw1 stayed as MASTER, as well.
I've got the same problem with carp under FreeBSD. But I still have no idea how to fix this problem. I would be really happy, if someone can investigate this behavior.
