Hi,
I can't install 3.9 on my Sharp MM20. I don't have a working
usb<->serial so I can only attach the dmesg done via netbsd 3.0 I hope
that helps a bit.
The following happens:
After booting the bsd.rd kernel from cd (also tried booting it from usb
stick) the system `stops', i.e.
rootdev=0x10 rrootdev=0x310 rawdev=0x312
is the last line the system prints, but it isn't frozen. If I plug
in/out usb devices the appropriate kernel messages are appearing on the
screen. I also tried to install 3.9 on a usb stick from my workstation
and booted from that. Similar did happen after booting the kernel I get
a never ending series of:
process: pid(1) got signal 11
maybe the line isn't fully correct, I am writing it from memory, but it
indeed said that init keeps getting signal 11 (SIGSEGV ?). I'll keep on
trying to get a working usb<->serial so I can give you the dmesg OBSD
gives to me, but I hope that someone could give me hint how to fix this
problem.
If it is because of unsupported devices I would be thankful if someone
could tell me whom I have to - more or less - kindly ask for specs.
Thanks in advance,
Frank.
