Thanks for your response (except for the childish condescension), but it
only points to the cause, not the reason, and doesn't answer my
question. If the answer is that the 'incident' vaguely referred to by
Nick Holland was just a dumb mistake which was quickly corrected, that
shouldn't really be so tough to admit.
But Mr. Holland responded with something weird and off-topic, so I guess
he's not going to answer my question, either.

translating the site from English to Japanese, after finishing his work
simply did "sync with steelix translation CVS" just like it said in the
tree, to bring his changes to the tree, but happen to have done a simple
mistakes that many could have done. That's a simple mistake that Nick
corrected at "Wed May 3 00:06:46 2006 UTC" with the statement in the
tree as "Japanese is a nice language, but not on the front page." and
changed back the changes that affected the main page and kept the
translate in Japanese in place.
Are you saying that you never make any mistakes in your life and if
anyone else happen to make one, from their free time as well, in trying
to help others that happen to speak their language, that they should be
hang!? Nick simply pointed you to the answer, but obviously you didn't
even spend anytime looking at.
If you were that interested in the answer, you would have looked.
I guess you are more interested in hanging people doing free work for
your benefit then anything else and in the process trying to create
problem were there isn't any our trying to smoke bugs where there isn't one.
I looked that the CVS tree and it wasn't hard for me to figure it out in
a few seconds.
