They're just embedded Linux systems, nothing special really. The Lantronix solution is actually the old Lightwave communications console server line. The founders of Lightwave went off and started a new company doing the same thing called Logical Solutions (think logical). It would be nice if companies making money off of selling "secure console servers" would give some back to the OpenSSH project. diana
