I also plan on trying to setup an instance of OpenBSD to be the firewall for the host OS. I read about something similar using Windows, OpenBSD, and VMWare in ;Login: as a way to protect Windows. The logic being that since viruses can disable firewall/anti-virus/ etc. software running on Windows, they would not be able to disable the instance of OpenBSD. Without the guest OS running, the box would have zero connectivity.
