Oh foo, how embarassing.  And I did go through the Makefile too, since I
first tried to build it on 3.9-release (and of course, it failed :)).
Actually, there's a quick easy way to find out, I think it should be
possible to get all the packages that's been built, drop it on another new
box, and install the jdk package.

Speaking of which, the original link indicated that it was kaffe that needed
the 3.9-current sbrk patch.  Should I try these packages from -current on
the 3.9-release system, since kaffe was only needed to build the jdk?  I
realize that there might have been other changes in -current that may affect
things - just wondering.
