You said, "I'm more concerned with stopping people sniffing other wireless traffic." Unless you use something that avoids running ARP-based protocols directly on 802.11 (pppoe?), WPA does not stop users of your network from watching other users traffic using the usual switch-sniffers (dsniff, ettercap, ..)
