From what I've seen in the list archives (hint), the 4801 CPU's aren't
exactly powerhouse equipment. Don't expect a level of performance that these machines were not designed for. They are energy-efficient equipment that can be placed in many (but not all) roles. If you want higher crypto performance, you should probably look for specialised crypto hardware. For example, see http://www.openbsd.org/crypto.html#hardware for more information.
