hi everyone
i want to use openbsd for a link in an urban area in 5ghz frequencies.

i try with a wrap + a mini pci atheros ar5212 and a toshiba laptop with
a carbus atheros ar5212. (opnbsd 3.9 from the cds
on the two hardware)

but can't see each other !
there was so much changes in the driver...so i'm not aware of the changes, does
802.11a works with the ar5212 ?
and i must select a particular option ?
i test one in hostap and try to join the networks but can't see it with -L
option

-L option of what command, wicontrol? Don't think that's going to
help you since your devices are ath not wi.

thanks for all
marc

First, man ath, and man ifconfig.

The developers and others who can help you need dmesg and other
relevant output in order to help you. I have some AR5211 and AR5212
Cardbus cards but they don't work in a, b, or g mode with -current as
of 6/30.

My hope, like you, is to eventually have 802.11a connectivity in my
quite crowded neighborhood.
