Greetings,

Please accept my apologies in advance for the off-topic post.

OpenBSD has satisfied all of my FOSS needs up to now, but
unfortunately I need to set up a workstation running both OpenOffice
and WINE, neither of which (from what I understand) have stable
OpenBSD ports.

Of the "similar" FOSS operating systems for which ports of these
applications are available, I believe FreeBSD is the closest to
OpenBSD in how to install, administer and maintain the operating
system, but I believe Slackware Linux also uses the BSD style of
configuration and file system hierarchy.

What would people recommend for someone familiar with OpenBSD and
wanting the minimum of fuss to get OpenOffice and WINE up and running?

Many thanks in advance,
Damon
