Can you take the HDD out and install it on a machine you do have access to
working CDROM or floppy at?

Alternatively, you may be able to arrange a netboot (PXE, if i386, other
stuff for other architectures.) diskless manual page is a good start, FAQ
entry too.

As another idea, which I might be wrong about, I wonder if you could
download bsd.rd to the system's HDD and instruct the boot loader to launch
it. This will put you in place for a network install.
