i don;t think there is a macro for curly braces. but for optional
arguments you probably want .Op anyway:
.It Xo
.Nm spamprobe
.Cm auto-train
.Op Ar SPAM\*(BaGOOD Ar
.Xc
if you really want the braces, but not to mark them up, you could use
.Pf or .No (depending) to do it.
