Upgrading to 4.0 - fsck takes a very long time?

This is my first OpenBSD upgrade.  I'm going from 3.9 to 4.0 and the
fsck -fp step seems to take a VERY long time.  Is this normal?  It has
been running for over an hour.  The machine is a PII-233Mhz with 64MB
ram and a 30GB HD.
