Could you elaborate on what branch (-release, -stable, -current) and version you're trying to build 4.0 on? And of course: which 4.0 branch are you trying to build? If it's not working, try the regular binary upgrade or snapshots. The regular bits of documentation (upgrade guide, tracking -current) still apply, of course.
