Is resolver in 4.0 thread-safe?

I'm about to compile a program (milter-greylist) that requires a 
thread-safe resolver. I'm using OpenBSD 4.0 i386.

The configure says that probably the resolver is not thread-safe because 
it has not found the res_ninit() function.

Anybody can confirm this?
