I'm running a test openldap server on an imac 333Mhz. When I run things
from the console it's really really slow, but when I'm in X things are a lot
faster. For example: I just ran as a test (several times) the ldap command
"time slapcat", which basically dumps the contents of the DB to the screen.
When I run it in X it takes around 2.8 - 3 seconds, when run on the console
without X it takes about 7.5 minutes.

This is OK because most of my time on this thing will be in X, and my
question is more of a curiosity than anything else.
